Do You Have a Bedtime Routine?
At least for me, having a routine is very important. Especially at night-time. I am talking a little bit more than the whole brush your teeth, wash your face thing before you crawl into bed. Although, I do those as well.
Right now my routine consists of the following in the hour or 2 before I go to bed. Oh and the order matters a lot. Not sure why, but if it happens out of order, I have to start again. Its a whole neurotic thing, that I have going on.
change into pajamas
practice guitar
brush my teeth
blog (if I can)
return phone calls
re-make my bed
wash my face
crawl into bed
That’s all there is too my bedtime routine. If I can’t sleep, I will alter it a little with a cup of chammomile tea and a book. But that is what I do to get ready to enjoy sleep. Do you something different? Please let me know, I am always interested to hear about what others do.

I sleep best if I shower before bed and put on all my lotions and creams. And I love reading myself to sleep! I have the most trouble getting to sleep if I’m online just before.

For myself, I don’t like routines. They annoy me. However, I do have one routine before going to bed, which is to get breakfast ready for the next morning. I am totally brain dead in the morning (ok, I used to be totally brain-dead in the morning, until I got my allergies under control, now I am just kind of slow) - anyhow, I have a morning routine so that I can get started in the day without thinking, since thinking is not my strong point in the morning. This starts with the before-bed routine of getting my breakfast ready, as I mentioned.

Preparation for the next day, is a great routine.
I wish I could remember to do that. Sometimes, I remember to put coffee in the filter, but often when I do that I run so late the next morning, that I dont even have time to drink coffee.
MMMMM Coffee!!!!
